Hold instrument tools that are so few they do not warrant their own package;\n2. Hold tools for instruments with no instrument team or the instrument team does not currently support solar applications;\n3. Act as an incubator for instrument-specific tools that can evolve into a separate instrument package, backed by an instrument team.\n\nFor instrument teams, this package can act as a forum to engage with their user base and learn how to best develop their tools within the SunPy/scientific Python ecosystem.\nIt also lowers the barrier to publishing Python-based instrument tools by providing packaging and release infrastructure and support.\nHowever should instrument teams want to develop at their own pace or provide a large number of tools,\nthey should consider starting their own package for full control.\nWe encourage and support instrument teams in choosing this route and hope they will still engage and collaborate with the SunPy and wider community during their development.\nWe point to the recent development of `aiapy \u003chttps://gitlab.com/LMSAL_HUB/aia_hub/aiapy\u003e`__ as a great example of this type of collaboration.\n\nUsage of Generative AI\n----------------------\n\nWe expect authentic engagement in our community.\nBe wary of posting output from Large Language Models or similar generative AI as comments on GitHub or any other platform, as such comments tend to be formulaic and low quality content.\nIf you use generative AI tools as an aid in developing code or documentation changes, ensure that you fully understand the proposed changes and can explain why they are the correct approach and an improvement to the current state.\n\nLicense\n-------\n\nThis project is Copyright (c) The SunPy Developers and licensed under the terms of the BSD 3-Clause license.\nThis package is based upon the `Openastronomy packaging guide \u003chttps://github.com/OpenAstronomy/packaging-guide\u003e`_ which is licensed under the BSD 3-clause licence. See the licenses folder for more information.\n\nCode of Conduct\n---------------\n\nsunkit-instruments follows the SunPy Project's `Code of Conduct \u003chttps://sunpy.org/coc\u003e`__\n","project_url":"https://awesome.ecosyste.ms/api/v1/projects/github.com%2Fsunpy%2Fsunkit-instruments","html_url":"https://awesome.ecosyste.ms/projects/github.com%2Fsunpy%2Fsunkit-instruments","lists_url":"https://awesome.ecosyste.ms/api/v1/projects/github.com%2Fsunpy%2Fsunkit-instruments/lists"}
