You’ll pipe an input serially through a list of (async) functions or classes. When using classes, you may define the called method on each class instance.\r\n\r\n\r\n## Installation\r\n\r\n```\r\nnpm i @supercharge/pipeline\r\n```\r\n\r\n\r\n## Docs\r\nFind all the [details for `@supercharge/pipeline` in the extensive Supercharge docs](https://superchargejs.com/docs/pipeline).\r\n\r\n\r\n## Usage\r\nUsing `@supercharge/pipeline` is pretty straightforward. Pass an array of classes or functions to a list and the pipeline sends the input through each stop.\r\n\r\nFor example, you may bootstrap an application by running a series of tasks:\r\n\r\n```js\r\nconst App = require('./your-application')\r\nconst Pipeline = require('@supercharge/pipeline')\r\n\r\nconst app = await Pipeline\r\n  .send(new App())\r\n  .through([\r\n    LoadEnvironment,\r\n    InitializeAppConfig,\r\n    RegisterRoutes,\r\n    RegisterMiddleware,\r\n    function logAppVersion (app) {\r\n      console.log(app.version())\r\n\r\n      return app\r\n    }\r\n  ])\r\n  .then(async app =\u003e {\r\n    await app.startServer()\r\n\r\n    return app\r\n  })\r\n```\r\n\r\nWhen using classes in a pipeline, the constructor receives the item you’re sending through the pipeline. In the example above, each class (e.g., `LoadEnvironment`) receives the `app` instance in the constructor.\r\n\r\nA class instance for the pipeline may look like this:\r\n\r\n```js\r\nclass LoadEnvironment {\r\n  constructor (app) {\r\n    this.app = app\r\n  }\r\n\r\n  async handle () {\r\n    // do the heavy lifting\r\n  }\r\n}\r\n```\r\n\r\n\r\n### Using custom class methods\r\nBy default, the pipeline calls the `.handle()` method on class instances. You may change the method using the `Pipeline.via` method:\r\n\r\n```js\r\nconst App = require('./your-application')\r\nconst Pipeline = require('@supercharge/pipeline')\r\n\r\nconst app = await Pipeline\r\n  .send(new App())\r\n  .through([\r\n    …\r\n  ])\r\n  .via('methodName')\r\n  .then(…)\r\n```\r\n\r\n\r\n### And then return…\r\nA pipeline starts when calling the `.then` method. The `then` method requires a callback as a parameter. You can skip the last stop (the callback of `then`) by directly returning the result of the pipeline using the `.thenReturn` method:\r\n\r\n```js\r\nconst app = await Pipeline\r\n  .send(new App())\r\n  .through([ … ])\r\n  .via('methodName')\r\n  .thenReturn()\r\n```\r\n\r\n## Credits and Love to Laravel\r\nThe idea for this package comes from the [Laravel](https://laravel.com) PHP framework.
