To install it alongside the necessary dependencies, use the following command:\n\n```shell\nnpm ci\n```\n\nTo start a local preview, run the following command at the root of your documentation, where your `docs.json` is located:\n\n```shell\nnpm start\n```\n\nView your local preview at `http://localhost:3000`.\n\n### Spell checks\n\nMintlify does them in each PR with the help of [Vale](https://vale.sh/). To also use Vale locally and run corresponding \"scripts\" in `package.json`, see: [Vale installation docs](https://vale.sh/docs/install).\n\nThen, run the following commands:\n\n```shell\n# Enables MDX support for Vale\nnpm install -g mdx2vast\n\n# Syncronizes necessary packages and add-ons\nvale sync\n```\n\n#### Adding new words to the spell checking dictionary\n\nThe dictionaries (_vocabularies_) for custom words is placed under `.vale/config/vocabularies/Custom`: the `accept.txt` file describes all allowed entries, while `reject.txt` file states all invalid entries that must be rejected.\n\nSee more info on dictionaries here: [Vale vocabularies docs](https://vale.sh/docs/keys/vocab).\n\n### Format checks\n\nTo check formatting of **all** files, run:\n\n```shell\nnpm run check:fmt\n```\n\nTo fix formatting of **all** files, run:\n\n```shell\nnpm run fmt\n```\n\nTo check and fix formatting of some **selected** files, run:\n\n```shell\nnpm run fmt:some \u003cFILES...\u003e\n```\n\n## Publishing changes\n\n[Mintlify's GitHub app](https://dashboard.mintlify.com/settings/organization/github-app) is connected to this repository.
