[Compose V2 plugin](https://docs.docker.com/compose/install/)\n- [git](https://git-scm.com/) 2.24 or newer\n- [invoke](https://www.pyinvoke.org/) installed in Python 3.8.1+ (and the binary must be\n  called `invoke` — beware if your distro installs it as `invoke3` or similar).\n- [pre-commit](https://pre-commit.com/)\n- [python](https://www.python.org/) 3.8.1+\n- [venv](https://docs.python.org/3/library/venv.html)\n\nInstall non-python apps with your distro's recommended package manager. The recommended\nway to install Python CLI apps is [pipx](https://pipxproject.github.io/pipx/):\n\n```bash\npython3 -m pip install --break-system-packages --user pipx\npipx install copier\npipx install invoke\npipx install pre-commit\npipx ensurepath\n```\n\n## Use the template to generate your subproject\n\nOnce you installed everything, you can now use Copier to copy this template:\n\n```bash\ncopier copy https://github.com/Tecnativa/doodba-copier-template ~/path/to/your/subproject\n```\n\nCopier will ask you a lot of questions. Answer them to properly generate the template.\n\nNotes:\n\n- The backup service will not be deployed when using postgresql 9.6.\n\n## Getting updates for your subproject\n\n⚠️ If you come from\n[doodba-scaffolding](https://github.com/Tecnativa/doodba-scaffolding), please follow\n[the migration guide](docs/migrating-from-doodba-scaffolding.md).\n\nIf you always used Copier with this project, getting last updates with Copier is simple:\n\n```bash\ncd ~/path/to/your/downstream/scaffolding\ncopier update --trust\n```\n\nCopier will ask you all questions again, but default values will be those you answered\nlast time.
