Requirements\n\nKendo UI Core depends on the following libraries:\n\n- [jQuery](http://www.jquery.com) v3.7.1\n\nKendo UI Core has not been tested against any other versions of these libraries. You may find that versions other than these are compatible with Kendo UI Core. However, we make no claims to support those versions, and will not troubleshoot issues that arise when using those versions.\n\n\n## Building Kendo UI Core\n\nThere are two ways to get the source code for Kendo UI Core. You can either download a pre-built zip from [Telerik.com](https://www.telerik.com/kendo-ui/open-source-core), or build the source yourself. The latter approach includes an option for building a distribution of Kendo UI Core that includes only the widgets and framework features required by your app.\n\n### Installing Dependencies\n\nIn order to build Kendo UI Core, you need to have **Node.js 24.x**.\n\nFor Windows you have to download and install [Git for Windows](https://git-for-windows.github.io/) and [Node.js](http://nodejs.org/download/) and [Visual C++ Build Tools](http://landinghub.visualstudio.com/visual-cpp-build-tools).\n\nMac OS users should install [Homebrew](http://mxcl.github.com/homebrew/). Once Homebrew is installed, run `brew install git` to install git, and `brew install node@14` to install Node.js.\n\nLinux users can use the [distributions provided by NodeSource](https://github.com/nodesource/distributions) or their package managers to install `git` and `nodejs`.\n\n### How to build Kendo UI Core\n\nClone a copy of the repository by running\n\n```bash\ngit clone https://github.com/telerik/kendo-ui-core.git\n```\n\nEnter the repository directory\n\n```bash\ncd kendo-ui-core\n```\n\nInstall dependencies:\n```bash\nnpm ci\n```\n\nRun the build script:\n```bash\nnpm run build\n```\nThe minified version of the scripts will be put in the `dist/` subdirectory.\n\n### Building only what you need\n\nCreate a `src/kendo.custom.js` file. Import the components that you want your bundle to have. E.g.\n\n```javascript\nimport './kendo.dropdownlist.js';\nimport './kendo.numerictextbox.js';\n```\n\nAdd the `bundle all` text after all imports:\n\n```javascript\nimport './kendo.dropdownlist.js';\nimport './kendo.numerictextbox.js';\n\n   \"bundle all\";\n```\n\nRun `npm run scripts` or `npm run scripts:min` to produce the bundles.\n\nAfter the process is completed, you should see `dist/js/kendo.custom.js`(or `min.js`) which will contain the combined source code for the given components.\n\n### Development\n\n- Run the dev script in order to compile the source code inside `dist/dev`. The source code is in `esm` format. You can edit the `rolldown.config.dev.mjs` to change the output. We recommend keeping it as is, as the rebuild times are much faster this way.\n\n    `npm run scripts:dev` or `npm run scripts:dev -- -w`\n\n- Run the tests:\n\n1. Run `npx playwright install` to install the necessary dependencies.\n2. Go to the `tests` folder by using `cd tests`.\n3.
