This replaces the\nold confluence based wiki.\n\n## Layout\n\nThere are two directories of note.\n\n1. `docs` - the markdown docs. This gets rendered to the site.\n2. `confluence-export` - An HTML export of the confluence content. This is\n    for reference purposes and will likely be removed once all of the\n    content is converted.\n\n## Requirements\n\nThere are very few external dependencies. Most needed tools will be installed\ninternally to the repo. You'll need the following available:\n\n* git\n* node.js (\u003e=8)\n* python3.7\n  * pip3.7\n  * virtualenv3.7\n\nIt's recommended to get these from [pkgsrc](https://pkgsrc.smartos.org), but\nyou may get them from elsewhere if you choose.\n\n    pkgin -y install git nodejs-8 python-3.7 py37-pip py37-virtualenv\n\nAfter you have the external dependencies installed, install the internal\ndependencies\n\n    make deps\n\n## Contributing\n\nPull requests welcome! Unlike other Joyent repositories, this repo only uses\ngithub pull requests in order to make it as easy to contribute as possible.\n\nPlease feel free to update anything that needs fixing and send us a pull\nrequest. Pull requests must pass `make check` before they'll be approved.\nOnce merged, changes should show up on the live site within about five minutes.\n\nBefore submitting a pull request, you should run ensure that your changes will\npass `make check`, and run `make serve` and check it with your local browser\nto make sure that everything looks the way you expect.
