In this tutorial we present Unikraft, a unikernel SDK aiming for extreme\nspecialization.\n\nUnikraft is an open source project with a growing and vibrant community\navailable on [GitHub](https://github.com/unikraft/) and\n[Discord](https://bit.ly/UnikraftDiscord).\n\nThis tutorial is highly practical.  We will provide remote access to\npre-configured machines where attendees will build, configure, run and measure\nUnikraft-based software components.  The tutorial is planned to take place for 6\nhours (e.g. 10am to 5pm - 1 hour break).  Each section of this tutorial consists\nof a short presentation / demo (10-15 minutes) followed by practical work to be\ndone by each attendee on their allocated remote machine.  Trainers from the\nUnikraft community will provide instructions and support to attendees during the\ntutorial.\n\n\n## Running the website locally\n\nBuilding and running the site locally requires a recent `extended` version of\n[Hugo](https://gohugo.io). You can find out more about how to install Hugo for\nyour environment in our [Getting\nstarted](https://www.docsy.dev/docs/getting-started/#prerequisites-and-installation)\nguide.\n\nOnce you've made your working copy of the site repo, from the repo root folder, run:\n\n```\nhugo server\n```\n\n## Running a container locally\n\nYou can run this website inside a [Docker](https://docs.docker.com/) container,\nthe container runs with a volume bound to the `docsy-example` folder. This\napproach doesn't require you to install any dependencies other than [Docker\nDesktop](https://www.docker.com/products/docker-desktop) on Windows and Mac.\n\n1. Build the docker image \n\n   ```bash\n   TARGET=devenv make container\n   ```\n\n2. Run the built image\n\n   ```bash\n   make devenv\n   ```\n\n3. Once you are in the developer environment, you can call the hugo server\n   command:\n\n   ```\n   hugo server --bind 0.0.0.0\n   ```\n\n4. Verify that the service is working. \n\n   Open your web browser and type `http://localhost:1313` in your navigation bar,\n   This opens a local instance of the docsy-example homepage. You can now make\n   changes to the docsy example and those changes will immediately show up in your\n   browser after you save.\n","funding_links":[],"categories":[],"sub_categories":[],"project_url":"https://awesome.ecosyste.ms/api/v1/projects/github.com%2Funikraft%2Fasplos22-tutorial","html_url":"https://awesome.ecosyste.ms/projects/github.com%2Funikraft%2Fasplos22-tutorial","lists_url":"https://awesome.ecosyste.ms/api/v1/projects/github.com%2Funikraft%2Fasplos22-tutorial/lists"}
