page](https://github.com/vaibhavpandeyvpz/consulate/releases/latest).\nIn the same folder as binary, create a `config.yml` file from the sample in the repository using below command:\n\n```shell\nwget -O config.yml https://raw.githubusercontent.com/vaibhavpandeyvpz/consulate/main/config.dist.yml\n```\n\nThen go to [api.slack.com](https://api.slack.com/), create a new app using provided manifest (see [slack.dist.yml](slack.dist.yml)) and install it on a [Slack](https://slack.com/intl/en-in/) workspace.\nOnce done, make note of the **signing secret** as well as **bot access token** shown in [Slack](https://slack.com/intl/en-in/).\n\nUpdate your [Slack](https://slack.com/intl/en-in/) and [Exotel](https://exotel.com/) credentials in `config.yml` file and start the app server using below command:\n\n```shell\n./consulate -config=config.yml\n```\n\nSince [Slack](https://slack.com/intl/en-in/) needs to communicate with your app for certain functionality, it's recommended to run this on a server and install an [SSL](https://letsencrypt.org/) certificate.\n\n## Development\n\nMake sure you have [Docker](https://www.docker.com/) installed on your workstation.\nFor the IDE, I highly recommend using [GoLand](https://www.jetbrains.com/go/) i.e., my go-to choice for [Go](https://go.dev) development.\n\nDownload or clone the project using [Git](https://git-scm.com/) and then run following commands in project folder:\n\n```shell\n# create .env file in project\ncp .env.dist .env\n\n# update NGROK_AUTHTOKEN in .env\n\n# create app config file\ncp config.dist.yml config.yml\n\n# update values in config.yml\n\n# create ngrok config file\ncp ngrok.dist.yml ngrok.yml\n\n# update ngrok domain in ngrok.yml\n\n# create Slack app manifest\ncp slack.dist.yml slack.yml\n\n# update ngrok domain in slack.yml\n\n# start all services\ndocker compose up -d\n```\n\n## Deployment\n\nFor deployment, using pre-built binary from [Releases](https://github.com/vaibhavpandeyvpz/consulate/releases) section is the easiest way to go.\n\nYou could also use [Docker](https://www.docker.com/) for deployment.
