Create a Nessus Key on \u003chttps://www.tenable.com/downloads/nessus\u003e\n\n## Start with Docker cli\n\nYou can find more detailed information on the Nessus documentation page: \u003chttps://docs.tenable.com/nessus/Content/DeployNessusDocker.htm?Highlight=docker\u003e.\n\n### Run Nessus Vulnerability Scanner\n\nRun with Docker Compose:\n\n```bash\ndocker compose up -d\n```\n\nRun with Docker cli:\n\n```bash\ndocker run --name \"nessus-scanner\" -d -p 8834:8834 -e USERNAME=admin -e PASSWORD=admin -e AUTO_UPDATE=all tenable/nessus:latest-ubuntu\n```\n\n## Configure Nessus Essentials\n\n1. Open your browser and navigate to \u003chttp://localhost:8834\u003e.\n2. Select \"Essentials\" and click \"Continue\".\n3. Enter your name and email address and click \"Continue\".\n4. Copy and save the activation code and click \"Continue\".\n5. Enter credentials and click \"Continue\"\n6. **Wait up to 30 minutes** for the scanner to be activated.\n7.
