All the users of the old vim-pandoc are suggested to move\nover the combo of the new [vim-pandoc][], [vim-pandoc-syntax][], and\n[vim-pandoc-after][]. vim-pandoc provides the writing environment setup,\nvim-pandoc-syntax provides the syntax file (and tests), and vim-pandoc-after\nsupport for third-party plugins (like ultisnips, unite, nrrwrgn, etc.).\n\n[vim-pandoc]: https://github.com/vim-pandoc/vim-pandoc\n[vim-pandoc-syntax]: https://github.com/vim-pandoc/vim-pandoc-syntax\n[vim-pandoc-after]: https://github.com/vim-pandoc/vim-pandoc-after\n\n## Moving over to the new vim-pandoc\n\n### What's different\n\n* The new vim-pandoc is modular, and extremely configurable. You decide what to\n  use from it, and how.\n* The syntax file is no longer included in the bundle. The user must install\n  `vim-pandoc-syntax`. \n  The syntax file has received many improvements; it is now faster and more\n  complete.\n* Integration with third-party plugins is no longer included in the bundle. The\n  user must install `vim-pandoc-after`.\n  More third-party plugins are supported, and old ones have been updated.\n* The executors system has been replaced by a single `:Pandoc` command. \n  pandoc can be executed asynchronously (if possible).\n* New features: TOC functionality, keyboard navigation and operators, improved\n  and smarted folding, etc.\n\n### Migration instructions\n\nFirst, uninstall vim-pandoc. If you have installed it by cloning the repo and\nusing pathogen, Vundle or Neobundle, it should be enough to delete the\n`.vim/bundle/vim-pandoc` directory. If you have used Vundle or NeoBundle, you\nshould also delete the configuration for it in your `.vimrc`.\n\nYou should now install the new [vim-pandoc][] and [vim-pandoc-syntax][] plugins\n(and if third party plugin integration is needed, [vim-pandoc-after][]).\n\nUsing Vundle, simply add\n\n    Plugin 'vim-pandoc/vim-pandoc'\n    Plugin 'vim-pandoc/vim-pandoc-syntax'\n    Plugin 'vim-pandoc/vim-pandoc-after'\n\nto your `.vimrc`, source it (`:so %`), and execute `:PluginInstall`. NeoBundle\nusers should be able to do something similar.\n\n### Configuration variables\n\nConfiguration variables have been renamed. This is a rough guide of these\nchanges. \n\n* `g:pandoc_use_hard_wraps`/`g:pandoc_use_soft_wraps` =\u003e\n   `g:pandoc#formatting#mode` = \"h\"/\"s\"\n* `g:pandoc_auto_format` =\u003e `g:pandoc#formatting#mode` += \"a\"\n* `g:pandoc_no_folding` =\u003e `g:pandoc#modules#disabled` = [\"folding\"]\n* `g:pandoc_no_empty_implicits` =\u003e not available\n* `g:pandoc_no_spans` =\u003e not available\n* `g:pandoc_bibfiles` =\u003e `g:pandoc#biblio#bibs`\n* `g:pandoc_use_bibtool` =\u003e `g:pandoc#biblio#use_bibtool`\n\nNote the new vim-pandoc is much more configurable, and has a modular design.\nPlease consult vim-pandoc's help file (`:he vim-pandoc`) for more information.\n(also `:he vim-pandoc-syntax`).\n\n## Keep using the old vim-pandoc (not recommended)\n\nIf, for some reason, you want to keep using the old vim-pandoc version, you\nshould clone this repo and revert to commit\nc905b50dce4f58cf76235c7d47c15eb699da0b2d.
