And by influenced I mean I\n      ganked it. :) There have been changes to make it fit\n      into an OO style, however.\n    - Strings are just lists of characters.\n    - Python-esque syntax\n    - Pattern matching\n    - Modular\n    - And lastly, fast.\n\nMy goal with Atomo is to fill the void between the speed of Java\nand the prettiness of Python, with many things heavily influenced\n(or, ahem, stolen from) Haskell. I'm making a language I'd want to\ncode in.\n\nAtomo is designed with flexibility and conciseness in mind. It has a\nlot of aspects often seen in functional programming languages, like\npattern matching, a strong and consistent type system, defining\ninfix functions, static typing, etc.\n\nTo learn more, just take a peep at the example file, \"example.at\"\n\n\"But Alex, dynamic typing is all the rage! Why? WHY?!\"\n\nBecause there are already too many good ones. Writing another\ndynamic, object-oriented language doesn't really make any headway\nunless it's pretty dang unique. I also prefer static typing for its\ntendency towards bug prevention, and it often acts as a form of\nself-documentation.\n\nAlso, yes, I used an ASCII generator for the \"logo\" up top.\n\nI'm not that l33t.\n","project_url":"https://awesome.ecosyste.ms/api/v1/projects/github.com%2Fvito%2Fatomo-old","html_url":"https://awesome.ecosyste.ms/projects/github.com%2Fvito%2Fatomo-old","lists_url":"https://awesome.ecosyste.ms/api/v1/projects/github.com%2Fvito%2Fatomo-old/lists"}
