Wandora suits well for \nconstructing and maintaining vocabularies, taxonomies and ontologies. \nApplication areas include linked data, open data, data integration, business \nintelligence, digital preservation and data journalism. \nWandora's license is [GNU GPL](http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-3.0.txt).\n\n## Developer Introduction\n\nTo compile and run Wandora, a Java JDK 17 or later is required.\n\nWandora uses Gradle for dependency management and building application packages.\n\nWe use Eclipse, preferably Eclipse IDE for Java Developers version 4.27.0.\n\nWandora was originally developed early 2000. Wandora is now going through a process where we try to modernize many of the underlying technologies and throw away deprecated features. There is no schedule for the next Wandora release yet.\n\nIf you wish to look at the old version of Wandora checkout git tag 'master-old'.\n\n### Running Wandora in local development\n\nEither\n\n* Clone Wandora's git repository.\n* Open Eclipse project in cloned git repository. Eclipse opens the project as a Gradle project and downloads all dependencies.\n* Use Gradle task application/run to run Wandora.\n\nor\n\n* Clone Wandora's git repository.\n* Open Eclipse project in cloned git repository.
