Various simple manipulations (cropping, percentiles, histograms,\ncolor-maps) are supported. Most tools are command line based, but a Qt-based\nGUI is also included.\n\n\nInstallation\n============\n\nThe `project homepage \u003chttp://www.waveform.org.uk/rastools/\u003e`_ has links to\npackages or instructions for all supported platforms.\n\n\nTools Overview\n==============\n\nThe set of tools included is:\n\n * ``rasinfo`` dumps information obtained from the header of the scan file to\n   stdout\n\n * ``rasdump`` extracts channels from a scan file and dumps its data to a\n   standard format like CSV or Excel\n\n * ``rasextract`` extracts channels from a scan file, applies any simple\n   transforms specified (e.g. percentile) and writes the output as a standard\n   image format (PNG, TIFF, SVG, etc.)\n\n * ``rasviewer`` is a Qt-based GUI for viewing the channels of one or more scan\n   files.
