So unfortunately, download and session directories are\nhardcoded.~~\n\nAs of `2024-08-23` the above is no longer the case. The offending lines have been removed\nfrom the configuration file, and instead are set in the `start-aria2c` script as\ncommand parameters.\n\n- Some files in `.local/bin/` may have hardcoded paths, and would need a quick\nglance over before you try to use them. I'd instead suggest just cherry picking files\nin this directory to suit your needs.\n\n---\n\nI use `arandr` as an `xrandr` frontend to make my life easier, and it just so happens to save config scripts to the `.screenlayout/` dir by default.\n\nAfter generating a config script for a specific arrangement of displays, I then manually\nappend an appropriate `xwallpaper` command for that specific configuration. This allows\nmy scripts (more specifically [`randr-layout-chooser`](.local/bin/randr-layout-chooser)) a fairly seamless way to switch display configurations on the fly.\n\n## Tools expected\n\nThis isn't an exhaustive list, but here are some of the tools/apps/services employed by\nor referenced within my dots:\n\n- `amfora` - Gemini client\n- `aria2c` - Download session manager\n- `blueman` - Bluetooth manager\n- `deluge` - Torrent client\n- `dunst` - Notification service\n- `emptty` - CLI-based desktop manager\n- `erdtree` - Directory information app\n- `fzf` - Fuzzy-searching selector\n- `herbstluftwm` - Tiling windows manager\n- `kitty` - Terminal\n- `librewolf` - Security-hardened Firefox fork\n- `mpd` - Music player daemon\n- `mpv` - Media player\n- `ncmpcpp` - Client for `mpd`\n- `nmcli` - CLI client for Network Manager\n- `oh-my-zsh`, `powerline10k` - Shell\n- `phetch` - Gopher client\n- `picom` - Compositor\n- `polybar` - Task bar\n- `rofi` - App/command Launcher\n- `sabnzbd` - Usenet client\n- `systemd` - *It's not that bad, really*\n- `tupimage` - Terminal image service\n- `webapp-manager` - Web app creator\n- `weechat` - IRC client\n- `wireguard` - VPN protocol\n- `wmctrl` - Window manager tools\n- `xsecurelock` - Secure screen locker\n- `xss-lock` - Screen locking service\n- `xwallpaper` - Wallpaper utility\n- `yt-dlp` - **Fuck tha police**\n","project_url":"https://awesome.ecosyste.ms/api/v1/projects/github.com%2Fwesker-albert%2Fdots","html_url":"https://awesome.ecosyste.ms/projects/github.com%2Fwesker-albert%2Fdots","lists_url":"https://awesome.ecosyste.ms/api/v1/projects/github.com%2Fwesker-albert%2Fdots/lists"}
