The compression algorithm used comes from [Using PPMD for compression](https://www.codeproject.com/Articles/1180/Using-PPMD-for-compression) which itself is adapted from, but incompatible with, [Dmitry Shkarin's PPMdE](https://compression.ru/ds/).
