If you have any suggestions or improvements, please contact me.\nSee also the car physics tutorial at http://home.planet.nl/~monstrous.\n\nKeys\n----\nPush the pedal to the metal using the cursor up key.  The car will accelerate until the force exerted by the engine matches the resistance force (=rolling resistance + drag).\nThe cursor down reduces the throttle. Brake using the right Control key.  \n\nSteering is with left and right cursor keys.  The steer does not return to it's original position when you let go of the cursor key.  This is to make it easier to experiment with\nvarious steering angles.\n\nYou can let front or rear wheels slip using keys F and A.  A rear wheel slip in a turn\nwill let the car spin wildly out of control.  A slipping front wheel means you won't make\nthe turn. Press SPACE to let all wheels slip at the same time.\n\nZoom in and out with Q and W.\n\nF12 to reset, Esc to quit.\n\n\nDisplay\n-----\nThe following information is shown on screen.\n\nsmall dials (from top to bottom)\n-steering angle (also known as delta)\n-side slip angle (also known as beta)\n-\"rotation angle\" (due to yaw rate)\n-slip angle front wheels\n-slip angle rear wheels\n\nvertical bars\n-left bar\t\tthrottle (0-100%)\n-right bar\t\tbrakes (0 or 100%)\n\nbig dials\n-big dial top\t\tvelocity vector relative to car reference frame\n-big dial bottom\tvelocity vector in world space\n\n\nVersion history\n---------------\n0.8\t05-06-2001\tLargely rewritten.  High speed cornering and skidding seems\n\t\t\tto work now.  Added display dials.  View no longer centres on car\n\t\t\tbut car moves across the screen and wraps around at the edges.\n \n0.5\t12-06-2000\tFixed bug that caused runaway velocities. The last term of the\n\t\t\tresistance force must be DRAG*car-\u003evelocity.x*ABS(car-\u003evelocity.x).\n\t\t\tNote the ABS to make sure the velocity's sign is not lost.\n\n0.4\t10-06-2000\tMade compatible for MSVC (#define'd M_PI and made makefile.vc)\n\n0.3\t04-06-2000\tAdded skidding based on dynamics.\n\n0.2\t10-05-2000\tFixed curves to look realistic, no skidding yet.\n\n0.1\t27-04-2000\tFirst version\n\n\nInstallation\n------------\nTo compile with DJGPP, run make.\nTo compile under Linux, use make -f MAKEFILE.UNI.\nTo compile with MSVC, run VCVARS32 and use nmake /f makefile.vc\n\n\nMarco Monster\nmonstrous@planet.nl\nhttp://home.planet.nl/~monstrous\n\n","project_url":"https://awesome.ecosyste.ms/api/v1/projects/github.com%2Fwillis7%2Fallegro-car-demo","html_url":"https://awesome.ecosyste.ms/projects/github.com%2Fwillis7%2Fallegro-car-demo","lists_url":"https://awesome.ecosyste.ms/api/v1/projects/github.com%2Fwillis7%2Fallegro-car-demo/lists"}
