It is a GNU project which is similar to the S language and\nenvironment which was developed at Bell Laboratories (formerly AT\u0026T,\nnow Lucent Technologies) by John Chambers and colleagues. R can be\nconsidered as a different implementation of S. There are some\nimportant differences, but much code written for S runs unaltered\nunder R.\n\nR provides a wide variety of statistical (linear and nonlinear\nmodelling, classical statistical tests, time-series analysis,\nclassification, clustering, ...) and graphical techniques, and is\nhighly extensible. The S language is often the vehicle of choice for\nresearch in statistical methodology, and R provides an Open Source\nroute to participation in that activity.\n\nOne of R's strengths is the ease with which well-designed\npublication-quality plots can be produced, including mathematical\nsymbols and formulae where needed. Great care has been taken over the\ndefaults for the minor design choices in graphics, but the user\nretains full control.\n\nR is available as Free Software under the terms of the Free Software\nFoundation's GNU General Public License in source code form. It\ncompiles and runs on a wide variety of UNIX platforms and similar\nsystems (including FreeBSD and Linux), Windows and MacOS.\n\n\nExample Playbook\n----------------\n\n    - hosts: servers\n      roles:\n         - role: wtanaka.r\n\nLicense\n-------\n\nGPLv2\n\nAuthor Information\n------------------\n\nhttp://wtanaka.com/\n","project_url":"https://awesome.ecosyste.ms/api/v1/projects/github.com%2Fwtanaka%2Fansible-role-r","html_url":"https://awesome.ecosyste.ms/projects/github.com%2Fwtanaka%2Fansible-role-r","lists_url":"https://awesome.ecosyste.ms/api/v1/projects/github.com%2Fwtanaka%2Fansible-role-r/lists"}
