That's when `git regret` becomes useful.\n\nThis is inspired by [two](https://twitter.com/RebeccaSlatkin/status/623720926358687744) [tweets](https://twitter.com/Lee_Ars/status/624576071678033922).\n\n## How to install it ##\n\nSimply run\n\n    $ sudo make install\n    install -b -v git-regret /usr/local/bin/git-regret\n    'git-regret' -\u003e '/usr/local/bin/git-regret'\n    echo \"To remove this, simply run 'make uninstall'.\"\n    To remove this, simply run 'make uninstall'.\n\nto install and\n\n    $ sudo make uninstall\n    rm -v /usr/local/bin/git-regret || true\n    removed '/usr/local/bin/git-regret'\n    rm -v /usr/lib/git-core/git-regret || true\n    failed to remove '/usr/lib/git-core/git-regret'\n\nto remove it.\nThe requirements are GIT and Python 3.\n\n## How to use it ##\n\nYou have to be in a GIT repository to use `git-regret`.\n\nIf you want to delete all changes you have made since the last commit, you would usually execute:\n\n    $ git reset --hard HEAD\n    HEAD is now at 61fd781 Test\n\n`git regret` improves this:\n\n    $ git regret --soft\n    HEAD is now at 61fd781 Test\n    Deleted all changes since the last commit.\n\nIf you want to delete the last commit, but retain all changes, you would usually run:\n\n    $ git reset --soft HEAD^\n\nOr you can use `git regret`:\n\n    $ git regret --hard\n    Deleted the last commit - but not any of the changes.
