This is an example repository for\n[PyDeployment](https://github.com/pydeployment/pydeployment), which is used to\neasily build applications for Windows, macOS, and Linux.\n\nCheck out the workflow file to get an idea of how to use GitHub workflows to\nautomate creating releases and building binaries.\n\n## Code Signing and Notarization for macOS Builds\nOn macOS, applications must be code signed and notarized in order for users to\nrun them without bypassing Gatekeeper. You will need an active Apple Developer\naccount in order to generate and use the necessary certificate to code sign\nyour application.\n\nTo enable code signing and notarization for macOS builds, you will need to\nuncomment the relevant lines in the `build-macos.yml` and\n`build-macos-intel.yml` workflow files and add several repository secrets.\nThese secrets can be added at\n`https://github.com/\u003cuser\u003e/\u003crepo\u003e/settings/secrets/actions`.\n\nThe following secrets are needed.\n\n| Name | Content |\n| :-- | :-- |\n| MACOS_CERTIFICATE | Developer ID Application certificate exported from the Keychain Access app and encoded in base64 |\n| MACOS_CERTIFICATE_NAME | Name of the Developer ID Application certificate.
