A Command-line script which deletes your browser and bash history if you don't turn it off in a set amount of time.











Purpose:

Nobody knows when can life go the wrong way. This is why I made plsdeletemyhistory. Leave it on and in the time you specified, If you don't return and turn the script off yourself, your browser history would be deleted. So if you feel like you are going to die and nothing is certain, this is your friend, friend.

The time limit can be specified in both days and seconds.

Has also the option of wiping your bash history.

  
Has also the option of automatically shutting down your PC after running the script.

How to use it:

python3 plsdeletemyhistory.py --help


To delete your google-chrome's history in 15 minutes.


python3 plsdeletemyhistory.py -s 15


To delete your google-chrome's history in 1 day.


python3 plsdeletemyhistory.py -d 1


To delete your google-chrome's history and bash history in 1 day.


python3 plsdeletemyhistory.py -d 1 -b


To delete your google-chrome's history in 1 day and then poweroff your computer.


python3 plsdeletemyhistory.py -d 1 -b -o


Play around with the commands. I am sure it's not too hard to understand ^^

How to contribute?: 

Just fork the project, Give it your own spin and make a pull request! I won't take too late to respond. As of now, I haven't implemented this for firefox and other browsers. I also plan on adding windows capatibility to it. Would be nice if someone chose to help out!
