A representation format (schema) for voting recommendations.

Voting recommendations are a set of votes, their expected outcome, and possible remarks on this outcome. They are mostly used by advocacy groups to make their positions clear and rank representatives according to their actual votes.

Primary goal

Formalize a representation to unify the software initiatives aiming at ranking representatives and maximize re-usability, rather than having each organization develop its own solution.

Secondary goals

- Generate machine-readable data to represent any actors’ political opinions.

- Facilitate citizen engagement by lowering the cost of developing new political software.
