# ๐Ÿ‘๏ธ EOM โ€“ Eye On Metadata
**EOM (Eye On Metadata)** is a free and open-source desktop application for **viewing, exporting, and removing metadata** from various media types including **images, videos, audio, and PDF files**.

Cross-platform by design, EOM runs smoothly on **Windows**, **Linux**, and **macOS**, offering a simple yet powerful interface for all your metadata management needs.

โ“ What is EOM?
Eye On Metadata (E.O.M) is a lightweight tool that gives you full control over metadata in your image files. With a focus on privacy, transparency, and usability, EOM helps you inspect and clean metadata from your media.

> ๐Ÿ› ๏ธ Note: Current support is limited to image files. Future updates will include support for videos, audio, and PDFs.

It supports multiple formats and is built to be **lightweight, efficient, and user-friendly**.

## ๐Ÿ“ค How to Extract/Display Metadata
Want to view metadata? Here's how:

1. Click on **Extract**
2. Choose the **extraction type** (single file or directory)
3. Select the file(s) or folder
4. Click the **Extract** button

Metadata will be displayed in an organized format.

## ๐Ÿงน How to Remove Metadata
To clean up media metadata:

1. Click on **Remove**
2. Choose the **remove type** (file or directory)
3. Select the file(s) or folder
4. Click on **Remove**

EOM will strip metadata safely while keeping your files intact.

## ๐Ÿ“ How to Export Metadata
You can export metadata to a file on your system:

1. Click **Extract**
2. Choose **extract type**
3. Select the file(s) or folder
4. Click **Export**
5. Set the **save path and file name**
6. Hit **Save**

Your metadata will be stored in a file for later use.
