# Dones - iDoneThis Importer

Import tasks from [iDoneThis](https://idonethis.com/) to [Dones](https://dones.today/).

## Installation

If you don't already have Dones installed, [follow the instructions](https://dones.today/#download) to set up the theme on your website.

Download and install the contents of this repository as a plugin on your Dones WordPress installation.

1. [Download ZIP archive](https://github.com/aduth/dones/archive/master.zip).
2. Navigate to the **Plugins > Add New** screen in your WordPress administrative dashboard.
3. Click **Upload Plugin** at the top of the page.
4. Click **Choose File**, then find and **Upload** the downloaded zip file.
5. After the plugin finishes installing, click **Activate**.

## Usage

The plugin registers a standard WordPress importer, which can be found under **Tools > Import**.

Before starting, you should generate an export from your iDoneThis account. For more information, [read the related knowledge base article](http://help.idonethis.com/article/92-how-do-i-export-my-entries).

1. Navigate to the **Tools > Import** screen in your WordPress administrative dashboard.
2. Click **Run Importer** under **iDoneThis to Dones**.
3. **Browse...** to the generated CSV file from iDoneThis.
4. Click **Upload File and Import**.
5. On the following screen, you'll need to assign each task author to corresponding users on your WordPress site, or create new users for those who do not yet exist on your site.
6. Once user mappings have been selected, click **Submit**.
7. You're done!
