# Dottorama

## Description
An interactive visualisation of [MIUR](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ministry_of_Education,_Universities_and_Research_\(Italy\) "Italian Ministery of University and Research") PhD grant allocatation accross different academic sectors. Uses data available from [Cineca search interface](http://cercauniversita.cineca.it/php5/dottorati/cerca.php) and includes a Ruby scraper and a build script to extract and compile the dataset into static JSON files. Visualisation code is written in CoffeeScript and is implemented using the [d3.js](http://mbostock.github.com/d3/) library.
