# notae-elegantissimae
Numerical notation of medieval Cistercian monastic order.
Powers of 10 are represented by symmetries and rotations of set of 10 original digit glyphs. The representation is limited to the integer range [0, 9999] but has a very graphical and compact way of representing the information.
The script `generate_number.py` can generate an `.svg` representation of any number between 0 and 9999.
