# net-kafka-confluent-examples
## Requirements
## .Net 9
### Linux manual
Download [.Net 9.0.x](https://dotnet.microsoft.com/en-us/download/dotnet/9.0) and run follwing commands:
```bash
DOTNET_FILE=/home/$USER//Downloads/dotnet-sdk-9.0.101-linux-x64.tar.gz
export DOTNET_ROOT=/home/$USER/.dotnet
mkdir -p "$DOTNET_ROOT" && tar zxf "$DOTNET_FILE" -C "$DOTNET_ROOT"
export PATH=$PATH:$DOTNET_ROOT:$DOTNET_ROOT/tools
```
### Linux package manager
Run the following commands:
```bash
sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install -y dotnet-sdk-9.0
sudo apt-get install -y dotnet-runtime-9.0
sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install -y aspnetcore-runtime-9.0
```
and update [global.json](./global.json) to `"version": "9.0.0"`
### Note on Confluent's .NET Client for Apache Kafka
[Confluent's .NET Client for Apache Kafka](https://github.com/confluentinc/confluent-kafka-dotnet) dependency can be added to .Net project as following
```bash
dotnet add package -v 2.6.0 Confluent.Kafka
```
