# DAAD-WISE-2024-Research-Internship
### Influence of the strut geometry on the hydrodynamics and heat transfer in POCS
I was one of the top 250 students from India selected for the DAAD WISE 2024 scholarship, to pursue a fully funded summer research internship at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, Germany.My work was based on numerical investigation of hydrodynamics and heat transfer in periodic open cellular structures under the guidance of Prof. Thomas Wetzel at the Institute of Thermal Process Engineering at KIT. Following is a detailed report of my work including the motivation, methodology, results and conclusions.
