[api.video](https://api.video) is the video infrastructure for product builders. Lightning fast video APIs for integrating, scaling, and managing on-demand & low latency live streaming features in your app.

# Description

api.video's WordPress plugin makes it easy and fast to work with streaming video in WordPress.

- Easily upload videos from your local computer. Videos will be processed and prepared for [adaptive bitrate streaming](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adaptive_bitrate_streaming). With the [fastest encoding times](https://api.video/encoding/) on the market, your video will be ready for streaming in a few moments.

- Quickly update video metadata from the WordPress admin interface. 

– Embed videos using the included [api.video player](https://api.video/player/). The player is responsive to work on all screen sizes and you can customize the player to look and function exactly how you want it to.

## Installation & getting started

1. Download the latest release by either clicking "Code" above and then downloading a `.zip` of this repo or clicking "Releases" on the right and downloading the `.zip` file.

2. Upload the `.zip` file on your WordPress plugins admin page, just like any other plugin. This repo contains all the necessary dependecies.

2. Once you've activated the plugin, head to the plugin's settings page under the api.video item on the left-hand menu and enter your API key.

3. That's it! You're now ready to upload videos and start embedding them into your pages and posts.
