# So You Wanna Code

This is Andrew Janke's little idea for a learning program for people who want to become coders, with an eye toward getting a job in programming.
It's aimed at adults considering a career change, but would also be appropriate for self-directed student-age learners.

## Status

This is very much a work in progress. The content may change at any time, new stuff is being added frequently, and links to any individual page may break at any time.

## Author

This was made by [Andrew Janke](https://apjanke.net) for a target audience of his friends.

This material is free to use.
I don't need donations.
If you'd like to support this project's aims, pleaes donate to [Black Girls Code](https://www.blackgirlscode.com/) instead.

## Contributions

So You Wanna Code represents Andrew's personal view of how one could learn to code, and my own opinions. So I'll take suggestions for things to consider, but probably won't accept any PRs or material changes.

Maybe if you have your own opinions or advice you want reflected, but don't want to write your own repo, you could write an `Advice-From-So-and-So.md` like the `Advice-From-Desmond.md` I've already included?
