# ExportGPT
## Description
ExportGPT is a browser extension that allows users to download conversations from ChatGPT, Claude, and Poe. This extension is designed to work locally within your browser, ensuring your data remains private and secure. It is compatible with both Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox.

## Installation
### For Google Chrome:
1. Download the extension files from the [GitHub repository](https://github.com/Atheric-Ai/exportgpt/releases/tag/v1.0.1).
2. Open Google Chrome and navigate to `chrome://extensions/`.
3. Enable "Developer mode" by toggling the switch in the top right corner.
4. Click on "Load unpacked" in the top left corner.
5. Select the folder containing the extension files you downloaded.
6. The extension should now appear in your list of installed extensions and in the Chrome toolbar.
### For Mozilla Firefox:
1. Download the extension files from the [GitHub repository](https://github.com/Atheric-Ai/exportgpt/releases/tag/v1.0.1).
2. Open Mozilla Firefox and navigate to `about:debugging#/runtime/this-firefox`.
3. Click on "Load Temporary Add-on" in the top right corner.
4. Navigate to the folder containing the extension files and select the manifest.json file.
5. The extension should now appear in your list of installed add-ons and in the Firefox toolbar.
## Usage
1. Navigate to ChatGPT, Claude, or Poe in your browser.
2. Click on the ExportGPT extension icon in the toolbar.
3. Select your preferred format (Markdown, HTML, or Plaintext).
4. Click "Extract Conversation" to save the current chat.
## Privacy
