In May 2020 we [reported](https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-52573685) on fears that the UK's scene would collapse without government support, as the lockdown left 140,000 performers, agents, promoters and technicians without a steady income since the end of March.

The Shared Data Unit makes data journalism available to news organisations across the media industry, as part of a partnership between the BBC and the News Media Association. Stories generated by the partnership included:

* Harrogate Advertiser: [What happens next for live music in Harrogate as lockdown eases](https://www.harrogateadvertiser.co.uk/news/what-happens-next-live-music-harrogate-lockdown-eases-2862737) *22 May 2020*
