We reported that "fewer than one in five eligible voters in some parts of England previously chose anyone to represent them in local elections, raising fears of a democratic deficit."

*Note: in row 1620 of the the original Electoral Commission voter turnout spreadsheet a number (42147) is given instead of a ward name. In the results for the council elections on 7 May 2015 its LA code is E05008935, the code for Anston and Woodsetts.* (Thanks to Rod Radburn for highlighting this)
