https://chat.openai.com/g/g-Fq4lGGQGx-stockfinder

## Overview

OptionsTradingML is a Python trading bot designed for options trading and utilizes machine learning algorithms to make decisions on buying and selling stocks

**Disclaimer: Trading involves risks, and this bot is provided for educational purposes only. Use it at your own risk, and be sure to thoroughly understand the code and trading strategies before deploying it in a live environment.**

## Features
- **AI-Driven Market Analysis:** Utilizes GPT models for in-depth analysis of financial data, including stock prices, trends, and news.
- **Trading Signal Generation:** Generates trading signals suggesting buy, sell, or hold positions.
- **User-Friendly JSON Output:** Outputs data in a structured JSON format for ease of use and integration.

## Getting Started

### Features
- Python 3.8+
- Access to financial data sources (APIs, databases)
- Pre-trained GPT model (e.g., GPT-3)

### Installation
1. Clone the repository:
```
git clone https://github.com/BDR-Pro/OptionsTradingML
```
2. Install required dependencies:
```
pip install -r requirements.txt
```

### Usage
To start using StockFinder:
1. Launch the Trading tool:
```
python stockfinder.py
```
2. Enter the command "Surprise Me" for stock suggestions.
3. Receive JSON formatted output with stock predictions.

To use alpeca API:
```
python main.py
```

## The GPT

To use "StockFinder" effectively, especially for the "Surprise Me" feature which returns a JSON object with stock symbol and expected price, follow these instructions:

1. **Starting the Tool:**
- Launch StockFinder on your device or access it through its web interface, if available.

2. **Requesting a Stock Suggestion:**
- In the input field or command line, type the phrase "Surprise Me". This is the command that triggers the tool's feature to provide a random yet potentially valuable stock suggestion.

3. **Receiving the Output:**
- Upon processing your request, StockFinder will generate a JSON object. This object contains two key pieces of information:
- `symbol`: The ticker symbol of the suggested stock.
- `expectedPrice`: The AI's prediction of the stock's future price based on current market analysis.

4. **Interpreting the JSON Response:**
- The JSON response will look something like this:
```json
{
"symbol": "AAPL",
"expectedPrice": 150
}
```
- In this example, `AAPL` is the stock symbol for Apple Inc., and `150` is the predicted price (in your local currency).

5. **Using the Information:**
- Use the information provided by StockFinder to conduct further research or make investment decisions. Remember, the tool's suggestions are based on algorithms and should not be the sole basis for financial decisions.

6. **Repeat or Refine:**
- You can repeat the "Surprise Me" command to get suggestions for different stocks. If StockFinder offers more refined commands or filters, use them for more targeted suggestions.
