# Better Way Electronics - PS5 UART Brute Forcer
## Introduction ##
I am BwE of betterwayelectronics.com.au and I have been creating software to validate the PlayStation's flash since 2008 with the help of psdevwiki.com :)
I also repair consoles locally in Australia and have been doing that since 2008 also. I am only recently slowing that down due to commitments with a PhD I am undertaking.

### Why is this free?
It sends all valid results to me! That's the payment!

No!
### Will this diagnose hardware issues?
No, this will diagnose nothing!
### I am getting compatibility issues?
Oh dear!
### Instructions?
Wire up your USB TTL device to the UART points (See attached diagrams!) then run the program.
The program will then search for the PS5. Plug AC power into the PS5 (or turn it on), so long as the southbridge works it will prompt that its been detected.
Just put some commands (one per line) in the 'command_list.txt' and anything that was successful will be written to 'valid_commands.txt'
### The PS5 isn't responding?
Try RX->RX, TX->TX, GND->GND - if that doesn't work just do RX->TX, TX->RX, GND->GND - if that doesn't work flip it!
Some USB TTL devices care about this, some don't. It's not going to damage anything if you wire it back to front.
