# For Every Star, A Tree
Since 2021, our motto has been "Earthcare > Doomscrolling."
We believe it is better to make a small difference than none at all.
We do this by inviting others into our version of Earthwork and Earthcare: tending to the land by watering, sowing seeds, moving mulch, and planting trees.

This is the official website for *For Every Star A Tree,* a 501(c)(3) nonprofit on a mission to regenerate desertified land into a thriving oasis through community-led earthcare.

For Every Star A Tree is an official **501(c)(3) nonprofit** ([Candid](https://app.candid.org/profile/15433332/)) dedicated to cultivating biodiversity in Los Angeles County's desertified region through scalable, climate-resilient miniature forests.
## How You Can Help
We need in-person, volunteer Earthworkers to join us. You can come for a planting day, plan a trip to stay overnight in a tent, car, or our Starry Night Skoolie (a renovated school bus), or host an event.
