A full site editing theme for blogs or sports teams.

Armando includes multiple block styles and block patterns including site headers, site footers and page layouts.

* Version: 2.0.1.

Removed the backwards compatibility check since it is no longer needed.

Updated the theme for WordPress 6.2.

Updated the Search results page and archie page so that the page title shows correctly.

Remove unneccesary block pattern categories.



* June 29 2022 Version: 2.0.0.

Updated the theme for WordPress 6.0. This is a large structural update.

Removed the colors from the template parts since this is no longer supported by WordPress.

Removed CSS that is no longer needed.

Reduced the styles and markup needed for the sidebars.

Replaced the old comments area with the new blocks.

Fixed an issue with the main content width.

Adjusted spacing.

Repositioned the post meta.

Moved patterns into the patterns folder. One pattern was removed from the theme and submitted to the pattern directory, awaiting approval.

Solved bugs with the custom block styles that were not loading in the editors.

Removed the beige color.

Remove the composer.lock file that was included for WordPress.org by mistake.



* January 13 2022 Version: 1.2.4.

Update the theme for WordPress 5.9.



Renamed the block templates and block template parts folders.

Updated theme.json to version 2, removing invalid settings.

Adjusted font sizes, adding extra small and removing normal.

Use row blocks to place blocks horisontally instead of using custom css.



Removed the add_theme_support that are added automatically for block themes. Replaced the reduced class with a function inside functions.php

Registered block patterns with the init hook.

Removed the about page.



* July 3 2021 Version: 1.2.3.

Update the theme for Gutenberg 10.7 - 11.



Updated the right sidebar because the images caused a block validation error.

The image now use a source with a relative URL. The image is intended to be replaced on live sites.



Style.css & styles-shared.css:

Replaced the body margin in style.css with a margin setting in theme.json.

The extra style for adding underline to links is no longer needed and has been removed.

Added an offset to link underlines.

Updated CSS for the header area and menu.

The class is-style-armando-no-top-margin has been removed because it was no longer needed.

Bottom margin for featured images was moved to theme.json.

Minor improvements to the comment area.



The link color block markup in Gutenberg has changed from "style":{"color":{"link":"var:preset|color|white"}

to "style":{"elements":{"link":{"color":{"text":"var:preset|color|white"}}}} and the markup was updated for:

The site title in the site-header

Links in site footer

Block patterns



Site-headers: Removed custom margin and removed the spacer block below the header.

Moved the bottom margin for template parts to theme.json.



comments.html

The link color set for the comment area was reduntant and has been removed.

The custom CSS class that was used to change the margin for the comment area title

was replaced with a margin setting.

The spacer block below the group was replaced with a margin setting.



Text size adjustments from px to rem.

Added medium text size.

Extra small and huge font size names were adjusted one step.

Extra small is now small and huge is extra large.



Corrected default color for headings.



Removed the notice from index.php since this is handled by WordPress core in 5.8.

Updated the theme.json format.

Updated default button and post navigation styles.

Updated the about page.

Updated footer patterns.

Fixed a missing width of the header template part.

Fixed a problem with the quote block styling.

Replaced the tag- and category blocks with the post term block.

Renamed the pattern template, this was not editable in template editing mode since it did not have

a post or page prefix.

Added one block pattern for the blog (query).
