# CDC EPHTracking XML Generator Tool
## Overview
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Environmental Public Health Tracking Program (Tracking Program) created and maintains the Tracking Network, which brings health and environmental data from national, state, and local sources together in one place. The Tracking Program uses a network of people and information systems to deliver a set of health, exposure, and hazards data, information summaries, and tools to enable the analysis, visualization, and reporting of insights drawn from public health data.
Visit the [EPHTracking](https://github.com/CDCgov/EPHTracking) main GitHub page for additional methods and resources developed by CDC's Tracking Program.
XML Generator is a Java Swing based thick client application that is useful in generating valid XML files based on prebuilt templates. The tool takes in a CSV data file, and based on the user-selected data feed, generates an XML file. The resulting file can be submitted to the Gateway during data calls or used for another purpose, depending on the use case.
