# channel-drop

Drop middleware for [channel](https://github.com/component/channel).

A percentage of emitted events will not be delivered on the other endpoint.

Useful for simulating connectivity issues.

```javascript
var channel = require('channel');
var drop = require('channel-drop');
var chan = channel();
chan.use(drop(0.05)); // 5% of all events will be dropped
```

## Installation

Install with [component(1)](http://component.io):

$ component install component/channel-drop

## API

### drop(rate)

Create a drop middleware, with the specified drop `rate`.

`rate` is a real number between 0 and 1. 0 means no events are dropped, 1 means all events are dropped.
