# Basic Statistical Methods for Social Science

### Overview

This online [Sourcebook](https://cwendorf.github.io/Sourcebook/) is intended to facilitate the connection between standard introductory statistics concepts and their implementation in statistical software. It uses written instructions, screenshots, and simple formulas to work through basic problems with the following learning objectives:

- Choose and implement the appropriate analyses given the research design
- Demonstrate the connections between formulas, calculations, and computer output of analyses
- Summarize and interpret statistical analyses in correct APA style

### Contents

The Sourcebook contains the following materials:

- **Intro** - Contains a statistical overview, statistical tables, an APA style guide, and worked examples
- **SPSS** - Contains data entry instructions, data analysis instructions, and annotated output for SPSS
- **jamovi** - Contains data entry instructions, data analysis instructions, and annotated output for jamovi
- **JASP** - Contains data entry instructions, data analysis instructions, and annotated output for JASP
- **R** - Contains data entry instructions, data analysis instructions, and annotated output for R (using base functions)
- **DEVISE** - Contains data entry instructions, data analysis instructions, and annotated output for DEVISE (an R package)
