# metaDig  

A potential query language library for the [NPS Natural Sounds & Night Skies Division](https://www.nps.gov/orgs/1050/index.htm) to facilitate loading data that are relevant to specific planning, research or compliance questions.  Intended to be used with [`soundDB`](https://github.com/gjoseph92/soundDB) or an equivalent parsing tool.

The NSNSD Acoustic Metadata Database includes coordinates for each site location sampled. 

On a per-deployment basis, it may also include:

- deployment date

- retrieval date

- purpose

- elevation

- primary use of sampling area

- lead agency

- audio recorder type (and S/N)

- microphone type (and S/N)

- preamplifier type (and S/N)

- sound level meter type (and S/N)
