# Android Project 4 - *Actors_And_Movies*

**Name of your app** is a movie browsing app that allows users to browse list of upcoming movies.
Time spent: **21** hours spent in total.otal
## Required Features
The following **required** functionality is completed:
- [x] **Choose any endpoint on The MovieDB API except `now_playing`**
- Chosen Endpoint: `https://api.themoviedb.org/3/movie/upcoming?language=en-US&page=1&api_key=a07e22bc18f5cb106bfe4cc1f83ad8ed`
- [x] **Make a request to your chosen endpoint and implement a RecyclerView to display all entries**
- [x] **Use Glide to load and display at least one image per entry**
- [x] **Click on an entry to view specific details about that entry using Intents**
The following **optional** features are implemented:
- [ ] **Add another API call and RecyclerView that lets the user interact with different data.**
- [x] **Add rounded corners to the images using the Glide transformations**
- [ ] **Implement a shared element transition when user clicks into the details of a movie**
The following **additional** features are implemented:
- [x] Border outline to each row of recycler view and material toolbar added.

## Notes
Processing the API response wasn't working, I had to seek out help from the slack help group to fix the error. Turns out it was due to version mismatch, and additionally, in order for the intent to display the details as needed, I also needed to ensure that .DetailActivity was declared wtihin AndroidManifest.xml file. Additionally, JSON decode to string doesn't automatically ignore null strings so I had to add additional parameters ensuring null values were ignored.
