# deCONZ Serial Protocol

The following document describes the binary serial protocol used between deCONZ and the RaspBee, RaspBee II, ConBee and ConBee II firmware.

**Note** The protocol requires *advanced understanding* of the ZigBee standard, further it is fairly complicated for historical reasons in order to be compatible with legacy devices.
