# Ecommerce Backend Server

This is a Node.js backend server for an ecommerce application.

## Features

- **User Authentication**: Implement user authentication using JWT (JSON Web Tokens).

## Prerequisites

Before running this server, ensure you have the following installed:

## Installation

1. Clone this repository:

```bash

git clone https://github.com/DVHcoding/clothing-server.git

```

2. Navigate to the project directory:

```bash

cd backend

```

3. Install dependencies:

```bash

npm install

```

## Configuration

1. Create a `.env` file in the root directory of the project.

2. Add the following environment variables:

```plaintext

PORT
MONGODB_URI
JWT_SECRET
STRIPE_SECRET_KEY
...

```

3. Replace `your_mongodb_connection_string`, `your_jwt_secret`, and `your_stripe_secret_key` with your actual MongoDB connection string, JWT secret, and Stripe secret key respectively.

## Usage

1. Start the server:

```bash

npm run dev

```

2. The server will start running on the specified port (default is 3000).
