FORMER REPO FOR SCREAM/EAMxx DEVELOPMENT

This repo was used for development of the C++ E3SM Atmosphere Model (EAMxx, aka SCREAM)
from 2018 to 2024.
Development has now moved to the main E3SM repo at https://github.com/E3SM-Project/E3SM/
Code is now located in E3SM/components/eamxx
Since this repo is no longer maintained, cases should not be expected to compile out-of-the-box on any supported machine.
If you have a branch from this repo, see [these instructions](https://acme-climate.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/DOC/pages/4788256835/Moving+EAMxx+development+to+E3SM) for moving it to E3SM.
