# Search Google in Private

Adds a `Search Google in Private for ` when you select something, it's just like Search Google for ` context menu but it opens a new private windows for your search

- To install download `search-google-in-private.zip` from [releases](https://github.com/electron0zero/search-google-in-private/releases) and unzip and install it as unpacked extension (make sure developer mode is enabled), but this also will give you an annoying pop-up each time asking to disable it.

### How-to build

1. `git clone https://github.com/electron0zero/search-google-in-private.git`

#### Firefox

2. install [web-ext](https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/Add-ons/WebExtensions/Getting_started_with_web-ext) by running `npm install --global web-ext`

3. `cd search-google-in-private/firefox`

4. run `web-ext run` and it will add this extension to your firefox

5. go to `about:debugging` in opened browser and you can access [extension debugger](https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/Add-ons/WebExtensions/Debugging)

#### Chrome

2. Visit `chrome://extensions` in your browser

3. Ensure that the Developer mode checkbox in the top right-hand corner is checked.

4. Click Load unpacked extension… to pop up a file-selection dialog.

5. Navigate to the `../search-google-in-private/chrome`

- Alternatively, you can drag and drop the directory where your extension files live onto `chrome://extensions` in your browser to load it. 

##### Package for Chrome

To package an extension:

1. Bring up the Extensions management page by going to `chrome://extensions` 

2. Ensure that the "Developer mode" checkbox in the top right-hand corner is checked.

3. Click the Pack extension button. A dialog appears.

4. In the Extension root directory field, specify the path to the extension's folder—for example, C:\myext. (Ignore the other field; you don't specify a private key file the first time you package a particular extension.)

5. Click Package. The packager creates two files: a .crx file, which is the actual extension that can be installed, and a .pem file, which contains the private key.

6. Do not lose the private key! Keep the .pem file secret and in a safe place. You'll need it later if you want to do any of the following: 

- Update the extension

- Upload the extension to the Chrome Web Store
