Minimal New Tab

Blank new tab with a custom solid background color and optional pinned Home tab.












  

 

Transform your new tab page into a clean, beautiful, and personal space. Minimal New Tab replaces your default new tab page with a solid color of your choice, creating a simple and elegant browsing experience.

## How to Install

To install Minimal New Tab, you have two options:

**You can install it from the [Web Store](https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/tidy-tab-groups/fmnangpmhapcdjpnfjanckicmmhodgka) on Chromium-based browsers** or you can follow the steps below to install it manually: 

1. Go to the **[Releases](https://github.com/elouangrimm/minimalnewtab/releases)** page on this repo and dowload the latest `.crx` file

2. Go to `chrome://extensions`

3. Enable Developer mode (hint: it's in the upper right hand corner)

4. Drag the file you downloaded (the `.crx` file) onto the page and it will ask you if you want to download it!

5. Click `Accept`, then you are done! Great job!

## How to Use

1.  Click the extension icon in your browser's toolbar.

2.  Select a color using the color picker, or use the eyedropper tool to pick a color from anywhere on your screen.

3.  Adjust the gradient slider to your liking.

4.  Optionally, enable the Persistent Home tab to keep a pinned tab always available!

Your new tab page will instantly update with your new settings.
