# PHP-Carterfone

 Created by the members of The 86it Developers Network and has been in development since Jan 1st 2021. This is an application used to migrate external applications into PHP-AN602. It also takes care of connecting user websites/portals to the 86it Devlopers Network Hub. It is used for the automation of federated and NoSQL database updates and setups.

 

 

# What is meant by federated database?

A federated database is a system in which several databases appear to function as a single entity. Each component database in the system is completely self-sustained and functional. A nonfederated database system is an integration of component DBMS that are not autonomous. A federated database system consists of component DBS that are autonomous yet participate in a federation to allow partial and controlled sharing of their data.
