# Automated Tax

## Installation
1. **Clone the repository:**
```bash
git clone https://github.com/esteham/automated-tax.git
cd automated-tax
2. **Install dependencies:**
```bash
composer install
npm install
npm run dev
```
3. **Setup environment file:**
```bash
cp .env.example .env
```
Update the database and other configurations in `.env`:
```env
DB_CONNECTION=mysql
DB_HOST=127.0.0.1
DB_PORT=3306
DB_DATABASE=automated_tax
DB_USERNAME=root
DB_PASSWORD=
```
4. **Generate application key:**
```bash
php artisan key:generate
```
5. **Run migrations and seeders:**
```bash
php artisan migrate --seed
```
6. **Start the development server:**
```bash
php artisan serve
```
Visit `http://localhost:8000` in your browser.

* Admin users can manage roles, permissions, and all tax records.
* Regular users can view and manage only assigned tax records.
* Reports can be generated from the dashboard for auditing purposes.
