# ABOUT THE ETE TOOLKIT
The ETE toolkit is a Python software intended for the integrative reconstruction, analysis and visualization of phylogenetic trees. ETE is widely used in research, particularly for large phylogenomic studies (>270 citations, >3000 ETE 3.0 downloads).
