# ICP-Biometric-Voting-System-Final

This project is built to simulate, on a lower scale, an advanced biometric voting system for Ghanaian elections.

# Language & Tools used

- **Java** & **JavaFX** for application logic and UI respectively

- **MySQL** for the database

# Data Structures  

- `binary trees` to maintain hierarchy from national, municipal and district levels.

- `hashmaps` to store the votes cumulated for each contestant and hierarchical level.
